Oh boy. Perfect grading is intense. So this weekend I took a break and tried to figure out my painting setup. Airbrush and compressor are purchased but now all I need is to get a spray box. In order to get Unicorn painted, I had to spray out the window again. I really do not like this option as I feel like I'm going to drop the damn runner. I also have to wrap my arm in a trash bag as I do not own latex gloves.
In order to prepare for the airbrushing, I've been watching a lot of videos online of very monotone Gundam nerds and their modeling. Super helpful and great technique, but sitting through them is murder. I just need to be patient.
In preparation for having Tarina over to watch Farscape, my lovely little cave needed to be organized. It's sad it took someone visiting to get me to clean, but it worked. It's pretty glorious and I need to keep it this way. In the process of cleaning my office, I started to stack my "Empties." It's pretty amazing how many of these I've gone through.
The 00 pile definitely got a little bigger as the clear parts were released. I have a large project on my hands. Nothing I can't handle for sure. I'm really enjoying this way too much.
So, pretty good weekend. I haven't had this busy of a work week in a long time. This new job is pretty nonstop and I definitely like it that way. I haven't been keeping up with my RSS feeds and the number of posts on Google Reader is well over 2000+. Friday night Tarina and I ended up watching the "Princess Trilogy" of Farscape and she kept telling me how it "gets better" the deeper in we get. I don't mind the show at all, it's a lot of fun. The only problem with it is that has to compete with a lot of other shows for my attention while I work.
Saturday, I went out and searched for paint. Paint turned in the GNX seen above and the 00 Clear Parts. Oh well, I was given bad advice to check out Pearl Paint. They didn't really have a nice selection. Today, I am heading to a couple hobby shops in Midtown and if those fail to help me, then I have to head up into the UES territory. Gods help me.
But now, I am off to have brunch with those friends of mine.
Keep it metal, internets.
Eric
